1. What is minimalist style to you?
Minimal style to me is simple yet bold, assertive yet muted with an effortless execution and timeless aesthetic.
2. How would you describe your blog?
It’s a lifestyle blog that encompasses fashion, beauty, travel and dope spots to eat. I would describe my blog as a creative outlet that allows me to show my friends/followers what inspires me. I would like it to be a platform in which a give and take community is cultivated. Hearing about other people’s stories and seeing their personal style intrigues me.
3. How long have you been blogging and how would you describe your journey as a minimalist blogger?
I started blogging in October 2016. I consider myself a newbie! At this point I’m blogging via trial and error. That’s how I learn best. I’m still fine-tuning my style, voice, and niche as a minimalist blogger. It’s all about the journey for me. I’m enjoying the ambiguity of boundless creativity that being a blogger has to offer.
4. What brands or designers inspire your minimalist style?
If you follow my blog, you know that I love H&M. Europeans understand minimal. I try to style with a mix of luxury/vintage/affordable clothing and accessories. Other brands I like include: ASOS, American Apparel, Zara, Topshop, Oak + Fort, Forever 21…the list goes on…designers: YSL, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, etc etc etc.
5. What shopping tips would you give to someone to have a great minimal wardrobe ?
Look for clean lines and more abstract cuts. Don’t be afraid to experiment because that’s the best part!
6. What makes you unique as a minimalist blogger and style influencer?
I think what make me unique as a minimalist blogger and style influencer is that I like to play with aspects of light, texture, shapes, shadows, and colors which all inspire me. I try incorporating that in whatever I produce. I also try to promote quality in my work. If I want people to notice and follow, then I better put in the work!
